The Issue of Foreclosure

I would like to share a story I recently heard from one of my friends. One day, he attended an emergency meeting with one of their company’s business clients. It was only at the meeting that he learned the topic would be about a case of foreclosure prevention to the client’s property.

The business client, together with his lawyer and family, were asking the company to stop foreclosure to be applied to their property. The client certainly didn’t want to lose the property, for it had long been in their family and it had been passed on from one generation to the next. Payment was only neglected because of two recent deaths in the family.

Sadly, all the company could offer was foreclosure assistance to make the process go smoothly. The client would be advised as to when the bidding would take place, but no other inside or prior information would be given. If they want to remain as owners of the property, they would have to pay their previous dues, compete on equal footing with other buyers, and offer the highest bid.

My friend’s story ends there. But I wonder how it would be, for the client’s family.
